Germany and her Castles
Castle Neuschwanstein, Germany

This is the great castle Neuschwanstein in Germany. It is located in the Bavarian Region. This is where I would love to visit or even stay if I ever get some time off work. This castle was home to Ludwig II King of Bavaria. This scenery almost looks like the rockies which are only an hour away from where I live in Calgary. If you ever get a chance to go anywhere for a vacation I suggest making a stop in Germany and visiting castle Neuschwanstein.

We have traced our family roots back to Germany. Our name Smith was known back then in Germany as Shmit. Shmit like Smith is a very provident name in North America. As so it is in Germany still this day.

Maybe this is the reason why I am so drawn to Germany's beauty. I'm working currently on my German for when I do get time to go for a few weeks. Although the food can be quite Sub-standard to us North Americans. Blood Sausage, Sauer Crout, Brought Worst etc...
I myself do not mind these foods and would gladly give them a try when I get there. I also hope to experience Oktoberfest! This is a great time to sample all the different beers of Germany and the World.

A great view of Neuschwanstein
Inside castle Neuschwanstein

What great work inside the castle Neuschwanstein. Just look at the huge paintings on the ballroom walls. The Sierra game " The Beast within" takes place in this part of Germany and intreged me to study it's beauty further. I hope one day to stand in this very ballroom that you see on the page right now. Maybe I will take my girlfriend or wife if I ever get married!! NO WAYYYY!!
